چکیده

Please cite this article in press as: Bari D et al. j.microrel.2011.07.061 Since the DSSCs gain heat during exposure to sunlight increasing its own temperature, we have studied the role of temperature on the degradation of DSSCs. We have performed pure thermal stresses keeping the devices at a constant temperature inside a climatic chamber and monitoring the electrical parameters during stress. We found that temperature alone strongly impacts on the DSSC performances, enhancing the degradation of the sensitizer and then reducing the photo-generated current. 2011 Elsevier Ltd. Investigation of Indigo/thioindigo Tandem Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells

In this paper we used two free-metal organic dyes (dye 1 and dye 2) based on indigo and thioindigo with cyanoacrylic acid as the electron acceptor group. The proposed dyes were sensitized from naphalene as the starting material by standard reactions and characterized by different analytical techniques and UV-Visible spectroscopy after purification. Spectrophotometric measurements of the organic...

Application of azo dye as sensitizer in dye-sensitized solar cells

An azo dye used as photosensitizers in Dye-sensitized solar cells DSSCs. Azo dyes economically superior to organometallic dyes because they are color variation and cheap. The spectrophotometric evaluation of an azo dye in solution and on a TiO2 substrate show that the dye form J-aggregation on the nanostructured TiO2 substrate. Oxidation potential measurements for used azo dyes ensured an energ...

Effects of Sensitization with Natural Pigments on the Performance of Dye-sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC)

Three natural pigments including wild iris, black pomegranate bark and black grapes were used as sensitizer in dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) based on TiO2 nanoparticles. The results showed that the DSSC made of black pomegranate bark was more efficient than the other cells due to its strong bonding with TiO2 nanoparticles. Longer electron lifetime, lower electron recombination, and lower...

The Construction and Comparison of Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells with Blackberry and N719 Dyes

In a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC), the amount of light absorption dependson the design of the pigments, which determines the strength of light absorption and theoptical range of the cell. In this paper, we have constructed and studied two fairly similarpattern of DSSCs in structure. The thickness of TiO2 used for both cells is taken to be 2μm. We have used an industrial N719 dye for one of ...

Influence of nanostructured TiO2 film thickness on photoelectrode structure and performance of flexible Dye- Sensitized Solar Cells

A  commercial  Ti-Nanoxide  was  deposited  on  In-doped  SnO2 (ITO) polymer  substrates by  tape casting  technique with different thicknesses  (7,  14  and  36μm)  to  be  used  as  photoelectrode  in flexible  dye-sensitized  solar  cells  (DSSCs).  Ruthenium  dye  was adsorbed on each TiO2 film for 24 h. The resulting photoelectrodes were used to form flexible DSSCs in combination with...

The investigation on different light harvesting layers and their sufficient effect on the photovoltaic characteristics in dye sensitized solar cell

Titanium dioxide-based nanofibers (TiO2 nanofiber) were prepared by an electrospinning technique. The electrospun composite fibers were synthesized at different concentrations of titanium isopropoxide (25.35, 50.69, 76.05 wt%) and calcinated at different temperatures (450 oC, 650 oC and 850 oC) for 2 h. The diameters of nanofibers decreased by increas...
